Ortho-Ion Ltd. was founded in May 2007, under the auspices of Yozmot HaEmek Technological Incubator (initiated and funded by the Office of the Chief Scientist, Israel). Ortho-Ion has obtained its initial R&D budget from the Office of the Chief Scientist of the Israel Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor. Additional funding has been acquired from a group of private investors.

Ortho-Ion’s treatment method will enable a substantially cheaper solution while preventing the need for repeated hospitalizations, thus reducing overall cost of bone treatments

Our Mission

Ortho-Ion intends to adopt an R&D company business model, while focusing on its greatest value adding activities. The mission of Ortho-Ion is to develop cure methods in the orthopedic field. The first Ortho-Ion's product, the OID, will be reliable, easy to practice, effective and cost effective.

Ortho-Ion’s technology offers a simple to apply, short procedure, low cost treatment to deal with insidious bone diseases, which provides a very low electrical energy at the target site to sustain a bone recovery effect

To make the method available worldwide, to the developed world as well as to developing countries, by keeping it simple and low cost
To perform a thorough research and development process, including in-vitro and in-vivo pre-clinical tests as well as clinical studies.
